BadBoyWest a professional DJ has been on the DJ circuit since 1988 playing a various choice of music. Sunrise FM was formed in 1988 by BadBoyWest, Judge Jimmy and Tony White known as “Tony Crucial White” broadcasting on citizen Band Radio (CB).

SunriseFm began testing in 1988 on the FM band 88.75 with a host of young new DJ’s playing Dance House Music and weekends to an older audience of Soul, R’n’B and Reggae.

In 1989, SunriseFm was officially 24 hrs, 7 days a week, broadcasting on 88.75 FM with a very large audience fan base with over 500 letters received each week from the postal address. Sunrise FM was the only station at the time with a pager and the MOTOROLA Mobile phone.

BadBoyWest hosted the morning breakfast Show Mon – Fri and setting the pace for others to follow. BadBoyWest was linked to many events in and out of London and DJ’s such as CJ Carlos, David Rodigan, Paul Anderson and the late Steve Walsh.

2 years running Sunrise FM, BadBoyWest and crew featured at the main event Soul Weekender at Camber Sands Hastings hosting to over 2000 people.

BadBoyWest helped other stations set up playing House Dance music known as CentreForce and has had a long term collaboration.
